The Lawyer’s Day 2026 brought together lawyers, judges, institutional representatives, and guests at the Municipal Theatre of Matosinhos Constantino Nery, as part of the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the Portuguese Bar Association.
For this conference, we developed a technical operation designed to ensure the simultaneous multicamera recording of the session, live streaming to the YouTube channel of Rádio Renascença, and the complete capture of all content presented throughout the day.
In addition to the livestream component, the work also included the production of a summary video of the event, individual versions of the main panels, and the provision of a stage timing system to support the management of speaking times.

The conference "What if it happened again?" was part of the official programme of Lawyer's Day 2026, promoted by the Portuguese Bar Association as part of its centenary celebrations. The programme included institutional speeches, debate panels, and moments of reflection on justice, democracy, the rule of law, and the responsiveness of institutions, bringing together professionals from the legal sector and representatives from various entities.
The main objective was to ensure a stable and continuous technical operation that would allow the conference to be streamed live to a wider audience, while simultaneously preserving all content for future use. More than just a simple broadcast, the challenge was to create a structure capable of meeting the demands of a highly responsible institutional context, without interfering with the event's proceedings.
The operation was structured around a multicamera system coordinated from a central control room responsible for managing image, audio, and transmission. The broadcast was conducted directly to the YouTube channel of Rádio Renascença through proprietary infrastructure, in collaboration with the station's technical team. In parallel, a redundant recording system was implemented through ISO recording and local recording on both cameras, ensuring additional security for all captured content. Throughout the day, complementary moments of the initiative were also recorded, including participant reception, networking, coffee breaks, and the formal dinner held at the Leixões Cruise Terminal.

In institutional events of this nature, production is not limited to capturing or broadcasting.
It requires prior planning, technical coordination, integration with different entities, and the ability to ensure that the entire operation runs with stability, discretion, and predictability.
When executed well, technology ceases to be the centre of attention and instead fulfills its most important function: enabling communication to occur without interruptions.
The next step is simple: understand context, priorities, and what is worth producing, or not producing.
